This exercise is conducted in collaboration with the chairs of History of Architecture, Building Typologies and Design Basics, Institute for Urban Design and European Urbanism, Healthy Living Spaces, and Design Computation. It aims to impart the fundamental skills of academic research.
The seminar begins with a joint introduction, where the various units are presented through lectures and presentations. Following this, participants are divided into groups and assigned to one of the units. Within these groups, students gain deeper insights into the methods and techniques of academic research specific to their assigned discipline.
A particular focus is placed on proficient academic methods, such as the correct use of sources and conducting thorough literature research, as well as the application of valuable tools like note-taking techniques and literature management software.
The results are submitted at the end of the exercise, followed by a presentation in which participants showcase their findings.
