Intelligence & Buildings
Intelligent buildings begin with intelligent building planning. However, as buildings are increasingly equipped with networked technology, the right choice of systems and their sensible interaction are becoming increasingly important for the success of a project. This seminar provides an overview of the knowledge that architects need in order to be able to argue and make decisions with specialist planners on the mechanisation of buildings at eye level. A further focus is on methods for designing and implementing meaningful interfaces for the various technologies.
The event is offered on a semester basis. Registration is via RWTH-Online.
Knowledge in the field of BIM is necessary in order to be able to fully participate in the course. However, any BIM software can be chosen by the student.
The course is taught by Dipl.-Ing. Olaf Thies.
